Entry Requirements
Academic Entry Requirements:
Applicants are generally expected to hold an upper second-class bachelors degree in any subject from a UK university, or the equivalent from an internationally-recognised university. For those studying masters programmes in information management, a background in social science or engineering is an advantage.
APEL
Pre-masters programmes, or relevant industry experience, may be considered subject to the University of Reading's application for assessment of prior experi- ential learning (APEL) rules.
English requirements:
Applicants whose first language is not English are expected to prove their ability in English language by taking an approved English language test;

IELTS: 7.0 (with no element below 6.5)
TOEFL: 600 (100 internet-based)
TEEP (University of Reading test): 7.0
- MSc Information Management and Systems, MSc Business Information Management programme and MSc Business Technology Consulting

TOEFL: 570 (88 internet-based)

If you fall short of these requirements we do offer a number of pre-sessional courses of different lenghts depending on your current English language ability. Completion of the University of Reading english language test (TEEP) at the end of these courses does usually allow you to carry on to study our masters programmes. Please see the International Study and Language Centre(ISLC) website or contact us for further information.
If an applicant has worked in an English language environment for a minimum of 3 years, a testimonial from their employee may be submitted as evidence of their meeting the English language requirements for the programme. A final decision on the English requirements will be made by the Postgraduate Admissions Office of University of Reading.
