The Henley MBA is a post-experience qualification programme. For experienced and practising managers with a primary degree or equivalent and at least 3 years' management experience. The typical participant has several years professional experience and often works as a manager or senior functional specialist, or exercises more general responsibility within a small organisation or business unit.

The Henley MBA knows no geographical boundaries; wherever you go, it will be instantly recognised as a world-leading qualification. Over 5,000 experienced managers working at an executive level studying for a Henley MBA in 110 countries can't be wrong. Since its launch in 1974, the Henley MBA programme has been continually developed and improved in response to the changing need of managers worldwide. For over 10 years the IMI has delivered and supported stages one and two of the Henley MBA (The Henley Diploma and Executive Certificate in Management).
In 2003, IMI launched its support and delivery of the full Henley MBA programme in Ireland. Since 2003, the programme has attracted over 140 participants representing managers from a broad range of industry sectors including financial services, ICT, pharmaceuticals and participants from public sector organisations.

Entry Requirements
For the MBA programme you are required to have a minimum of three years' managerial experience and a primary degree or equivalent experience.
Successful completion of the Henley Diploma in Management is also acceptable for entry to Stage 3 of the programme.

Programme Content
The Henley MBA is divided into three stages:
MBA Stage 1: Managing the organization
Stage 1 comprises the following modules:
- The Henley Starter Workshop
- Managing People and Performance (with elective pathway)
- Managing Processes, Systems and Projects (with elective pathway)
- Managing Financial Recourses
- Personal Development
Each module is assessed through the completion of a workbasedassignment.
Examination 1
A case study based examination is held upon completion of the three main modules. The Henley starter workshop content is not examined.
MBA Stage 2: Making Choices
Stage 2 comprises the following modules:
- Strategy and International Business (with elective pathway)
- Strategic Marketing (with elective pathway)
- Corporate Finance and Governance (with elective pathway)
- Personal Development
Each module is assessed through the completion of a work-based assignment.
Examination 2
A case study based examination is held upon completion of the three main modules.
MBA Stage 3: Making a difference
Stage 3 comprises the following modules:
- Leadership & Change (with elective pathway)
- Reputation and Relationships (with elective pathway)
- The Manager as Investigator
- The Managements Challenge
- Personal Development
Leadership & Change and Reputation & Relationships are assessed through assignments.

Approach and Methodology
The Henley MBA incorporating the Henley Diploma in Management is delivered in IMI and is made up of: self-study, tutorial support and residential workshops supplemented with access to the Henley e-learning and e-library environments, online support, a mentor system and skills-based workshops.
The programme is flexible in that it recognises that busy managers and executives are unable, for work or personal reasons, to commit to a full-time course.
