Ginny is Deputy Dean of Henley Business School and Professor of Corporate Real Estate. During her career at the University of Reading she has held a number of senior roles including the Director of Teaching and Learning for the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences (2002-2008) and the Head of Real Estate & Planning, one of the subject groups within Henley Business School (2008-2010). Ginny's research and teaching are at the nexus of management and real estate, drawing on her academic background in both fields. She is recognised a leading academic in the field of corporate real estate, focusing on the way in which organisations align their property with their changing business environment and has worked on research with a range of organisations including BT, Barclays, Boots, MWB, and JCI. Drawing on this research, she developed an executive post-experience Masters programme in corporate real estate to which she has contributed for the last 10 years. Ginny also has a keen interest in teaching and learning in higher education. She was an auditor for the Quality Assurance Agency and has undertaken numerous institutional audits and led a strategic University-wide project funded by HEFCE linking quality enhancement and quality assurance processes.

Ginny is actively involved with the sector and has sat on numerous steering and consultative groups. She has delivered programmes for a wide range of organisations which focus on understanding the strategic trends which impact the demand for space by organisations and how organisations can manage their real estate more effectively to meet the needs of their every changing organisations. She has contributed to the Henley Partnership and to: Leading Successful Real Estate Organisations. Her contribution to thought leadership in the field has lead to the following awards:
- CoreNet Award for Significant Contribution to the corporate real estate field 2011
- Elected honorary fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2008.
- ACES (Association of Chief Estates Surveyors) Honorary Fellowship 2004 for services to property management in the public sector.
