Fourth Henley Golf Challenge 2009

The Henley Golf Challenge 2009 took place in the beautiful grounds of The Springs Golf Club in Wallingford. We would like to thank our alumnus, Richard Sarsfield-Hall, for his kind introduction to this very welcoming club.
14 alumni, staff and guests attended on Friday, the 25th September - a glorious autumn day, with plenty of sunshine and not a
cloud in sight!
They teed-off in 4 groups and played following the Stableford rules.

"The 4th Henley Golf Challenge at The Springs GC was a
great day of golf played in some of the finest weather of the summer.
The Springs is a very scenic parkland course, bordered by
the River Thames. The combination of lakes and
challenging wetland areas meant that there was plenty of water to avoid.
The 2nd hole par 3 gave my foreball the opportunity to show some promise with 4 comfortable drives onto the green. We walked up to the elevated green to see only 3 balls. Stewart Dick found his ball in the hole and with this hole-in-one scored a massive 5 stableford points! I was very pleased to win the day with a score of 37 points, with 22 scored on the front 9. I can vouch for the good standard of prizes.
The golf day was very well arranged, with good preparations made for arrival, on course refreshments and followed with lunch in the Tudor-style clubhouse. The day was both fun and competitive on the course. The day provided a perfect opportunity to network and relax with fellow Henley Business School students and alumni."
