The Henley Centre for HR

The Centre was established in February 2005 to provide a forum for senior international HR executives to network, to discuss challenges and what their organisations are doing in HRM, and to consider the development of the role of HR. There is a full calendar of events for members to attend each year

Our offering

We work with individuals and organisations on a wide range of projects related to HR. Below are an example of the range of approaches we offer:

We work with organisations to design programmes tailored to businesses specific needs. Typically these are designed to develop individual and organisational HR Capability. They may be targeted at specific areas of HR (OD, Talent) or at developing individuals at particular stages of their careers (mid career, high potential)

Consultancy

We work on a wide range of HR consultancy projects. Typically we have supported organisations as they introduce new processes or go through major transition

Research

We carry out both applied and academic HR research. We work with companies to gain insights into HR topics in their organisations, we carry out research across organisations to gain broad insight into a topic and we publish 'pure' HR research in academic journals. The School of Management is home to both research-active academics and practically oriented thought leaders. See our expertise.

Executive programmes at Henley

The Advanced HR Business Partner Programme

In response to requests from our existing clients our first HR Open Programme was launched this year. This 3 day programme will give senior HR managers the capability to understand their business drivers and then develop their HR agenda to support and extend the overall business strategy.

Coaching and Psychometrics

In the area of coaching we run a flagship programme The Henley Certificate in Coaching. In addition several organisations are running in-house versions of the programme for their line managers. We also provide the Henley Register of Coaches, a guide to all successful participants on the Henley Certificate in Coaching.

In the area of psychometrics, we employ qualified psychologists to help design assessment and development events and can provide independent advice on usage of specific instruments.
