MA in Health and Social Care Management

The Foundations for the Future programme has been running since June 2008 meaning no students will yet have completed sufficient modules and accrued enough credits to complete a full MA in Health and Social Care Management at Henley Business School.

What do I need to study to gain a MA in Health and Social Care?

Students will already have achieved a minimum of 120 credits in Health and Social Care modules through studying for the Postgraduate Certificate in Health and Social Care Management and/or the Postgraduate Diploma in Health and Social Care Management.

A final year culminating in the award of a full a full MA in Health and Social Care Management is delivered over one academic year starting in October, and unlike the Certificate and Diploma modules, which are delivered solely by distance learning, the final year will be by 'blended learning', requiring attendance at 6 day workshops during the Autumn and Spring terms at the University, in addition to undertaking distance learning.

Students will join those who have undertaken the standard taught Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Management in this final year.

There are 2 modules studied in the final year, Evaluating and Reflecting on Management Practice and the Applied Management Project. Successful completion of these modules will lead to a total accumulation of at least 180 Masters level credits and award of a full MA in Health and Social Care Management.
