MBA programmes that are UK, European and world-ranked by the FT and EIU
Our MBA programmes are designed for experienced practicing managers. Most already have 10 years postgraduate work experience. Sharing your experience with fellow programme members enriches your learning.
To join a Henley MBA programme you will need:
- Three years' management experience (PDF-53 KB)
- Good first degree or equivalent professional or international qualification
- Evidence of competence in English - if it is not your first language (see below)
- For the Flexible Learning/Executive programmes you must be able to gain access to company data for assignment purposes
Academic requirements
A good first degree or the equivalent professional or international qualification is normally required. However, we welcome applications from candidates with exceptional management experience who may not meet all the formal criteria for admission. If you have a minimum of five years' managerial experience at a senior and strategic level we would be happy to consider an application. Our Admission Panel reviews all non-standard applications for suitability.
English language requirements
A list of approved English language tests may be downloaded below. We require applicants whose native language is not English or who did not complete their first degree in English to have taken one of the following tests and to have reached the minimum level indicated.
You are required to submit documentary evidence of your performance level with your application. Please indicate on your application form the qualification you have taken and the grade you obtained and attach the appropriate certifica
Alternatively, if the everyday working language of your current employer is English, please complete the Proficiency at Work form to be submitted with the Application. This must be signed by your Line Manager or HR Department
Applying to Henley Business School
All applicants must submit a completed application form, certified copies of degree certificates, a CV and satisfactory references - ideally one business reference and one academic reference.
Candidates for the Full-Time and Executive MBA programmes are required to attend a selection day at Henley comprising a group exercise, a personal interview with a member of faculty and other assessment processes. We look for a lively mix of backgrounds and experiences.
Candidates who cannot attend a selection day will normally be required to complete an essay, participate in two telephone interviews and complete a recognised team role-based questionnaire.
Successful applicants will then be sent an offer letter.
