Henley Business School offers competitively-awarded studentships to full-time PhD students in International Business and Strategy, Marketing and Reputation; and Leadership, Organisations and Behaviour with outstanding academic backgrounds.

A PhD Studentship pays full tuition fees for the first year of study and is renewable for a further two years, subject to progress. It also provides an annual maintenance stipend of around £15,290 for three years. Successful applicants will be expected to undertake some unpaid teaching duties (up to four hours per week in term-time) within the School.

Fee remission

We also welcome PhD applications from externally and self-funded students. Fee remission at the home/EU rate may be offered to strong candidates (distinction or high merit at Masters level) who apply with their own funding.

We also put our most promising applicants forward for ESRC awards and University of Reading Studentships. Additional University-wide sources of funding may also be available.
