How to apply for a PhD studentship

Eligibility requirements

To be considered, you must hold a distinction (at least 70%) at Masters level in a business-related subject or a cognate discipline that is relevant to management (sociology, psychology, economics etc.) from an internationally recognised university. Your masters qualification must have included a research project, requiring independent analysis of academic literature relating to a chosen topic, and preparation of a dissertation on that topic. You will usually have attained a mark of 70% or more for your dissertation.

If you are currently studying for your Masters, you should provide the grades you have attained to date, and/or provide evidence (such as a letter from your institution) that you are predicted to attain a distinction. If you are awarded a studentship, the offer will be conditional on attaining a distinction at Masters level by October of the year of entry.
