Henley Business School ambition to extend message of responsible management from Hong Kong into the wider Asia Pacific Region

Henley Business School has appointed Mr. Julian Simmond as Managing Director of the new Henley Business School office in Hong Kong.

With 25 years of experience in Hong Kong, Henley Business School has ambitious plans to expand into the wider Asia Pacific Region. The new appointment combined with a growing staff team, includes new offices in November 2009 and growing the staff team so that we can continue to provide the flexible MBA learning programme, continuing education and executive education programmes in Hong Kong and the surrounding Asia Pacific Region and extending as far as Sydney, Australia.

Julian is a specialist in designing and implementing programmes to develop leaders who will create success and value for their companies and becoming responsible leaders for positive economic social change.

During the last 10 years Julian has focused on strategic communications and international alliance strategies involving launch plans media presentations conference and event planning for both the public and private sector. He has worked extensively in the USA, Hong Kong, mainland China Singapore, Japan, Vietnam and Australia.

His vision for the Henley HK office is to continue to provide the distinctive Henley MBA programme for experienced managers in the Asia Pacific. In addition, Mr. Simmonds aims to support alumni in the region with networking events, continuing education initiatives, and seminars. For example, the highly acclaimed Coaching Certificate programme is being launched in Hong later this year and in Sydney, Australia early 2011.

The appointment of Simmonds and other key staff coupled with other significant investments in resource and infrastructure will turn the Hong Kong office into a hub for the Asia Pacific region that will strengthen the Henley brand and continue to contribute to the growth and development of responsible leaders in this important economic region. Our ambition is to work with local businesses and international corporations located in the area developing customized programmes to meet the specific challenges and changes they are facing.
