Management Academics Present at the Banca d’Italia
On Friday 03 October Dr Anna Spadavecchia and Professor Peter Scott, from the School of Management, presented their paper, 'Did the Introduction of the 48 Hour Week Damage Britain's Relative Competitiveness?' to a seminar at the Italian central bank, Banca d'Italia.
This was held in a magnificent mid-nineteenth century villa in central Rome, which now forms part of the Bank's headquarters. The paper generated a good audience and much discussion, despite the fact that, in common with other central bankers, the economists at Banca d'Italia were somewhat pre-occupied in early October.
