Henley Business School Awards 100% MBA Scholarships

Henley Business School has awarded its two annual 100% scholarships for the Full-time and Executive MBA programmes starting September.

The Henley MBA is designed especially for managers with considerable experience and plenty of achievements to share. As the abilities and experiences of the programme members are so key to the success of the programme, the scholarships are awarded to those two candidates who the judging panel believe to be able to offer the most value to the intake.

The first of the scholarships - the Henley Business School/Times Executive MBA scholarship has been awarded to Patricia Rocha-Salume from East London who works for The Learning Trust in Hackney.

Dr Susan Rose, Associate Head of School - Professional Studies, explained why Patricia had been chosen:

'Patricia's story and aspirations are consistent with how a great MBA can create benefits not just for the individual but for those around them too. We believe that Patricia is an excellent example of the Henley ethos in which our focus is on developing leaders with real character and integrity and the ability to make the right decisions for themselves as well as the communities with whom they go on and work with in life.

'Working in the local authority of a comparably deprived area of London, Patricia is passionate about her own learning and development being taken back into the workplace and being applied to improve the business practices in the public sector - thereby creating value for all its' stakeholders. Patricia is particularly interested in issues relating to sustainability and is keen to explore this more fully on her MBA, introduce her learning back into her organisation and share it with her fellow managers.

'Patricia joins us with a wealth of life and cultural experience having gained her first class degree in Brazil, lived in three continents and being fluent in the languages and the skills required to progress in them all. I have no doubt that she will bring a very distinctive perspective to our Executive MBA programme - one that will add real value to the learning experience for everyone else on the intake.'

The Henley Full-time MBA 100% scholarship has been awarded to Mr Bijayananda Panda of Pune, India. Bijay will be joining Henley with a very strong management record in data engineering and consultancy. However, what most impressed the judges was the international experience Bijay has in project leadership across many European countries.

'Bijay will provide an outstanding contribution to teamwork on the Henley Full-time MBA and I am delighted to welcome him to the programme' said Dr Giampiero Favato, Programme Director for the Full-time and Executive MBA.

Henley Business School is still taking applications for the September start MBA programmes.
