Impressive new halls of residence completed

The University of Reading is delighted to announce the completion of building work on two new halls of residence, Stenton and Mackinder, alongside new facilities at the centre of the newly named complex on campus, Park Place.

The University's Chancellor Sir John Madejski was among more than 300 staff and guests who experienced the impressive new halls and catering facilities on 8 September. The two halls will provide around a thousand new en-suite bedrooms for students on campus, grouped into flats of 8 -10 rooms with shared kitchen facilities.

Group Residences Manager of Redlands Group, Elaine Nicol said; 'I think the facility is fantastic. It has a comfortable, bright and modern atmosphere; the food is excellent and provides a great choice for students.'
