Centre for Real Estate Research (CRER)
Established in 2002 the Centre for Real Estate Research (CRER) further reinforces the University’s established international reputation for carrying out both pure and applied research in Real Estate.
Our leading research is funded by UK research councils, central and local government, together with professional bodies and private industry organisations from around the world. Researchers associated with the Centre serve on the editorial boards of the leading real estate journals, on the research committees of global property organisations and are regularly invited to present at major UK and international conferences.
CRER’s activity can be divided into two broad areas: Real Estate Investment and Finance and Real Estate Appraisal and Management.
Recent research topics range from the applications of portfolio and equilibrium pricing theory to commercial property and applying corporate finance to property markets, to studies of financial innovation in the real estate sector and the impact of flexible working on government property requirements.
