John Tranter Memorial Fund
Richard and Helen Tranter have very generously made a donation to RREF in memory of their son John (MSc Real Estate, 2003) who sadly passed away last year. The John Tranter Memorial Fund will support the RREF Access Internships which have been launched this summer, as well as the Mentoring Awards. John was a mentor himself.
The 3 funded internships will be offered to applicants from under-represented backgrounds who maybe lack contacts in the industry, or would struggle to secure and accept unpaid work experience during the university holiday periods. One of these placements will be undertaken at Cushman & Wakefield where John was an employee.
The Mentoring Awards will include a monetary prize for the Mentee of the Year and a small gift for the Mentor of the Year, and both recipients will receive a certificate and award which will be presented at the RREF Annual Dinner.
The John Tranter Memorial Fund will allow RREF to develop the aforementioned activities with a clear purpose of supporting less privileged students to gain valuable work experience and important skills and contacts in the industry they hope to join.
