RREF Access Internships

RREF Fair Access Internship Scheme

Following on from our involvement in the Government funded Fair Access Internship Scheme that took place in summer 2010 we launched the RREF Access Internships open to all Part 1 and Part 2 Real Estate and Planning full-time undergraduate students.

The scheme aims to address issues relating to widening access to the profession and help students overcome some of the obstacles to participation which might be, for example, financial, social or experiential reasons.

We secure host firms with whom the students are placed and the students are paid a bursary to ensure they are able to successfully undertake the placement.

In 2011 CBRE, GE Capital Real Estate, Cushman & Wakefield, Gerald Eve, Hines UK, Jones Lang LaSalle, Knight Frank, Lambert Smith Hampton, Savills and SEGRO hosted 12 students between them.

Students

The application process for the Access Internship Scheme is now open to all Part 1 and Part 2 full-time undergraduate Reading Real Estate & Planning students. Please see Access Internship Scheme 2012 for details of how to apply.

Host firms

We encourage a spread of internships across a number of organisations, large and small so if you would be interested in hosting a student for a placement during the summer of 2012 or would like to receive further information about the scheme itself, please contact Nicole Gillham on 0118 378 4193 or n.gillham@rref.reading.ac.uk
